Sheikh Mohammed Hussein Al-Amoudi Center of Excellence in Breast Cancer (SMHA-CEBC) and Sheikh Mohammed Hussein Al-Amoudi Scientific Chair for Breast Cancer (SMHA-SCBC) were both invited by the Department of Nursing at King Abdulaziz University to sponsor the International Nursing Day which was entitled “Closing the Gap: Increasing Access and Equity” held at King Fahd Research Center on Wednesday, May 11, 2011. The exhibition was opened by Dr. Adnan Abdullah Al-Mazroa, Vice-Dean at King Abdulaziz University, Dr. Mahmoud Shaheen Al-Ahwal, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Haitham Bin Ahmed Zaka’ee, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Medical Science, Dr. Hasna Bin Irfan Banjar, under the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences and Dr. Shadia Yousif, Head of Nursing. The center participates in the exhibition accompanying the conference. The representatives from both the center (SMHA-CEBC) and chair (SMHA-SCBC) were Ms. Lotfa Hashim Al-Khirati, X-ray Technician and Ms. Sara Bugshan, Technical Supervisor. They distributed some books of the center and the chair and brochures about the importance of mammography and breast cancer screening and some of the documentaries about the center.
