King Abdulaziz University participated in the eighth edition of the Global Health Exhibition 2025, held under the patronage of the Ministry of Health and supported by the Health Sector Transformation Program, a strategic initiative of Saudi Vision 2030. The event, which took place from October 27 to 30, 2025, featured the university’s contributions through two key booths focusing on Wellness Technology and student-led innovation, along with highlights from its university hospitals in alignment with the Kingdom’s healthcare transformation goals.

 

Wellness Technology: Integrating Innovation with Well-being

 

At its Wellness Technology Booth, the university showcased a portfolio of pioneering programs that merge technology, preventive care, and institutional wellness. Key initiatives included:

            •           “Occupational Wellness” Program , a comprehensive initiative promoting the mental, social, and professional well-being of university staff and fostering a balanced, positive work environment.

            •           “Wiqayah” Screening Program, a proactive health screening initiative aimed at identifying early physical and psychological health risks among students and employees.

 

 

Student Innovation Recognized Nationwide

 

The Student Innovation Booth drew wide engagement from exhibition visitors, featuring forward-thinking projects in digital health and wellness technologies. These projects were submitted as part of the Youth Entrepreneurship Competition, where:

            •           141 students presented innovative healthcare solutions.

            •           24 initiatives were selected among the top university projects across the Kingdom.

            •           The project “VITARC – Lifelong Care, One Profile” earned a spot among the top six finalists nationwide.

 

 

University Hospitals: Translating Innovation into Practice

 

King Abdulaziz University’s University Hospital and Dental Hospital presented cutting-edge medical devices, research outputs, and student-led projects that reflect the university’s role in advancing digital health within the framework of Vision 2030. Their participation came under the umbrella of University Hospitals, supervised by the Universities Affairs Council.

 

Hospital representatives also held strategic meetings with both local and international healthcare institutions to explore opportunities for collaboration in developing clinical care protocols. These discussions focused on knowledge transfer, experience sharing, and the adoption of emerging health technologies within academic medical environments.
